2. Overview
This website links to the official Formula 1 highlight videos on YouTube without showing thumbnails or results. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no content from third parties (such as fonts, videos or scripts). Personal data is only processed as far as is technically necessary to deliver the website (section 3) or when you write to me (section 4).
3. Hosting and delivery
The website is hosted on Amazon Web Services: the files are stored in Amazon S3 in the Frankfurt am Main region and delivered through the Amazon CloudFront content delivery network. Name resolution (DNS) also runs on Amazon Route 53. The provider is Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg.
When you visit the website, Amazon processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested address, the previously visited page (referrer) and information about your browser and operating system. Without this data the website cannot be delivered to your device. I have not enabled access logs and do not store this data myself.
CloudFront delivers the website from the server location closest to you. This may involve processing outside the EU, in particular in the USA. Amazon is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the European Commission's standard contractual clauses apply. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Amazon (AWS GDPR Data Processing Addendum).
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is providing the website securely and reliably.
4. Contact by email
If you email me, I process your email address and the content of your message in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is answering your request. I delete the data once the request has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Links to YouTube
The videos are not embedded in this website but set as plain links to youtube.com. Only when you click such a link does YouTube open in a new window and data is transferred to YouTube (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google's privacy policy applies to that.
6. Support via Buy Me a Coffee
The "About" page has a link to Buy Me a Coffee (provider: Publiflow Inc., USA), through which you can support this project voluntarily. This website does not load any scripts or content from Buy Me a Coffee for this. Data is only transferred to Buy Me a Coffee when you click the link. The payment is handled there under Buy Me a Coffee's privacy policy. If you support the project, I receive the details Buy Me a Coffee passes on to me (such as the name you entered, a message and the amount). I use them only to manage the support and to meet legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). To do so, contact me at the address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the authority where you live or the one responsible for me.
